The Bitcoin network’s hashrate has hit yet another all-time high as we approach the Bitcoin block reward halving, which occurs on May 12.
The new one-day average hashrate has reached 139 EH/s, with miners scrambling for the last week of the block reward being 12.5 BTC, before it drops to 6.25 BTC per block mined.
Indian cryptocurrency exchanges have drafted a formal letter to the Reserve Bank of India, in an effort to gain clarity regarding the classification of their businesses.
According to reports, the exchanges are also still being denied access to banking services, in spite of the fact that the RBI’s cryptocurrency ban was lifted by the Supreme Court.
Ripple co-founder Jed McCaleb has allegedly sold 54 million XRP coins during the month of April, according to data from TheCryptoAssociate.
By analyzing XRP addresses owned by McCaleb, the investigators found that he has sold off his supply of XRP coins regularly. On average, 1.8 million XRP passed through his liquidation wallet daily over the last month.
