Bitcoin underwent its third block reward halving today, reducing the block reward from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC per block.
This took place at approximately 19:23 UTC, with price remaining relatively unchanged for the event. Volatility was greater over the last two weeks of trading, with price rallying from $8,000 to $10,000, falling soon after back into the $8,000 range.
It has been reported that JPMorgan is now serving cryptocurrency exchanges, with its first clients being American exchanges Coinbase and Gemini.
Services provided to the exchanges reportedly include cash management, along with handling transactions for US customers involving US Dollars.
Binance has announced their investment in an Indonesian cryptocurrency exchange, Tokocrypto today.
Tokocrypto is reported to have been the first Indonesian cryptocurrency exchange to receive approval from Indonesia’s Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency, in 2019.
The sum of Binance’s investment remains undisclosed.
