Video game company Atari have announced plans to launch their very own cryptocurrency token in September of this year, as well as a partnership with the Litecoin foundation.
The Atari token will be used to track digital assets in its gaming ecosystem, as well as pay for buy-ins in their Atari Casino.
Atari’s partnership with Litecoin will enable purchases of both their Atari token, as well as receive a discount on its upcoming VCS game console. Litecoin is also expected to be used across the Atari ecosystem in the future.
A hard-fork planned for the STEEM network will see $5 million worth of STEEM seized from former Steemit witnesses, in a move approved by witnesses currently in control of the network.
The move appears to be another power-grab by Justin Sun, who purchased the Steemit dApp earlier this year. The purchase included a large supply of STEEM coins, which Sun has used to influence decision-making on the network.
Cryptocurrency travel companies Travala.com and TravelByBit have merged into a single platform, enabling users to book both flights and accommodation with crypto.
Both of the projects are backed by Binance. The merged platform will provide loyalty rewards paid out in Travala’s AVA token, including a 2% AVA rebate on hotel bookings.
