Bitcoin price has started the day with a small 1.3% bump in price, as it rebounds from the weekend’s test of $9,000 support.
Top-20 altcoins have had an excellent 24 hours, with Ethereum and XRP each gaining 3%, while almost all other coins are also in the green. Bitcoin SV leads the pack today, with a gain of well over 7%.

Payment giant Visa’s head of crypto, Cuy Sheffield, has called central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) “one of the most important trends for the future of money”.
The quote came from a 20-part Tweetstorm by Sheffield over the weekend, which emphasized that CBDCs would have “major implications” for everything from monetary sovereignty to geopolitics and the adoption of Bitcoin.
The Tweestorm also included several links to reports of countries pursuing their own CBDCs – including the United States.
Binance-backed travel agency Travala.com is adding support for Expedia bookings, enabling users to pay for bookings in cryptocurrency for the first time since 2018.
Users will be able to book using 30 different cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, thanks to a partnership which has allowed Travala to plug into Expedia Group Partner Services’ “Rapid API”.
A number of Chinese courts have been reported to be using electronic seals based on a blockchain platform, in order to secure sealed properties.
The seals trigger surveillance cameras if they are broken, also sending warnings to plaintiffs and law enforcement.
Global Times reports that the seals have been used in the Haidian District, and several courts in the provinces of Jiangsu, Hunan, and Jiangxi.
