A new rule is being considered by the US Treasury, focusing on transaction reporting for self-hosted wallets.

The rule would force money service businesses to file currency transaction reports in the case that a client conducts a cryptocurrency transaction to or from a self-hosted wallet involving their service, over $10,000 in a single day.

Within the cryptocurrency community, self-hosted wallets are more commonly referred to as non-custodial wallets.
