A record $3.7 billion worth of Bitcoin options contracts are set to expire on January 29, following the cryptocurrency’s significant bull run.
According to the options data, most market participants are still bullish on Bitcoin, even though momentum has somewhat died off.
According to analytics website bybt.com, the total value of all open Bitcoin options positions stands at over $9 billion USD.
Livecoin, a Russian-based cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it will be closing its doors after the hack it experienced in December 2020.
The platform has stated that it will refund any remaining funds to its users and that claims for refunds must be made before March 17.
Nvidia CFO Colette Kress stated at a recent conference that the computer chip company may restart its manufacturing of cryptocurrency mining GPUs, if there is enough demand.
The company is unsure how much of its current GPU demand is coming from cryptocurrency miners, however an analyst has made a recent estimate that Nvidia has sold $175 million worth of hardware to Ethereum miners.
