Dragonfly Capital has launched a new $225 million fund to invest in cryptocurrency projects in the areas of decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs and more.

The fund has been backed by several prominent names including Sequoia China, as well as crypto exchanges ByBit, OKEx and Huobi.

Dragonfly Capital was founded in 2018 and has invested in more than 35 projects including dYdX, Compound Finance, and Maker.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced the launch of its new blockchain-based digital health app, which will be used as proof of COVID-19 vaccination and test results.

Visa has announced that it will allow the stablecoin USDC for the settlement of transactions on its network, beginning with a pilot program with Crypto.com.

The first transaction was completed this month, with Crypto.com sending USDC to Visa’s Ethereum address at Anchorage. The company plans to offer the option to more partners later this year.
