Ethereum (ETH) briefly reached a total market cap of more than $500 billion today for the first time in history, with an all-time high coin price of over $4,370.
The valuation places the second-largest cryptocurrency at a greater value than both JPMorgan and Visa, with some calling an eventual $1 trillion market cap a “no brainer”.
Coinbase’s mobile app has overtaken TikTok for the number-one spot in the US Apple App store today, with a slew of interest since the exchange went public.
The app had been sitting behind RobinHood for the top spot last month, however has finally landed the top spot.
Cash App, which is also known for enabling its users to buy Bitcoin, is currently sitting at 12th, while Binance comes in at 16th.
A bundle of nine CryptoPunk NFTs have sold for a total of $16.9 million at Christie’s auction house, to an undisclosed buyer.
The sale has been of of many eye-catching NFT sales through Christie’s this year, most notably the Beeple NFT that sold for a whopping $69 million in March.
