Gaming Giant Ubisoft Releases Ethereum-Based Game
Gaming giant Ubisoft have released an Ethereum-based game today, designed to benefit the UNICEF charity.
“Rabbids Token” is a game inspired by CryptoKitties, which allows users to purchase unique “Rabbids” held on the Ethereum blockchain.
Rabbids can be bought with Ethereum when a user links their wallet to the official website, with each one currently ranging in price from 0.05 to 0.15 ETH.
Trump Told Treasury Secretary to Clamp Down on Bitcoin
John Bolton, Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has revealed in his new book that Trump made orders to clamp down on Bitcoin trading in 2018.
The order was made to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, with Trump telling him to “go after Bitcoin” for fraud. According to Bolton, the Trump administration has held a skeptical stance on cryptocurrencies for a long time.
China Reported to be Planning East-Asia Digital Currency
According to a report from Nikkei Asia today, Chinese officials have proposed creating a digital currency that would operate in East Asia and reduce dependence on the US dollar.
The currency would be a stablecoin backed by major Asian fiat currencies including the yuan, won, yen, and Hong Kong dollar. Numerous influential figures have been involved in the discussions.
