After only seven months on the job, Christopher Robins, the chief lawyer for exchange giant Binance US unit has resigned.

Christopher Robins was the general attorney of Binance.US for about seven months.

Christopher Robins, who formerly served as general counsel, will now work part-time for the company.
In an email to CoinDesk, a Binance US representative stated, “Chris has been one of the driving forces in creating our leading legal team, and we are appreciative for his previous and continuing efforts on behalf of Binance US and our clients.” The news was initially reported by Business Insider.
Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has recently been hit by a wave of regulatory criticism from financial regulators throughout the world, pushing it to take a firmer, more proactive posture on compliance.

Robins’ resignation follows Binance’s by two months. Brian Brooks, the company’s then-CEO, left after only four months on the job.
Norman Reed will fill the position of general counsel on an interim basis. Reed previously worked at Ripple Labs and Nanopay as the company’s chief lawyer, as well as at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Market Regulation and the Federal Reserve.
